This site has been created to garner support for my whistleblower lawsuit against individuals in-charge who wrongfully terminated me from the MD PhD program of my medical school, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia, PA.
In the past during my final semester of medical school, I was distraught over nonsense of broken promises to my MD PhD education and after reporting to the Ethics Committee Medical Malpractice covered up of an inappropriate intra-arterial phenergan injection that led to complete vaso-constriction, shriveling, blackening and hardening of fingers, pain no amount of morphine could control that led to the left fingers being amputated of a 33 year old black female that doctors at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA lied to her and her mother saying it was her fault for letting her diabetes get out of control, and failed to warn her of a possible need for a second amputation up to the site of the injection near her elbow that other patients with this complication endured prior to being discharged from the Hospital.
Because of being distraught over the broken promises and wrongful acts, I was wrongfully put on Lithium and Zyprexa because I was misdiagnosed with Bipolar Disorder by the school psychiatrist. The medications I was on for 2 1/2 years caused significant complications and temporarily took away my mind from me, but now being medication free for the past 2 1/2 years, those complications have resolved.
However, now, I am stuck in a legal situation against the University because they are not letting me back to finish my training after we had an agreement/contract (click here to see agreement) that they would once I was medically cleared and no other University to date has allowed me to finish my training elsewhere.
However, after Jefferson's lawyers filed a Motion for reconsideration in which their lawyers claimed they didn't have an opportunity to present evidence they wanted, Judge Manfredi issued an order to have a 2nd preliminary injunction hearing. (Click to see Order)
At that point in time, I found a lawyer to represent me in this case off of Craigslist who filed an amended complaint on my behalf adding an ADA claim, stating it was being added as a state law claim, and this case was then transferred to federal Court prior to ever having this 2nd preliminary injunction hearing.
The lawyer who was representing me, who was 2 years younger than me, then decided to leave the legal profession and now is pursuing a career outside of law, and his partner, who was only 27, was not experienced at all in this field of law. Thus, the Federal Judge, the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin, granted my Motion to Withdraw my Counsel.
I again this summer have filed another Motion for Preliminary Injunction, on my own, Pro Se. This motion is still pending, and I could use any helpful advice on how to handle a potential hearing for this Motion.
On 9/9/09, the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin ruled on Jefferson's Motion to Dismiss and only dismissed some of my claims, but the most important claims that cover the essential factual content of this case are going forward. (Click to see Memorandum, Click to see Order)
Both the 2004-2005 and 2006-2007 student handbooks contain a provision that states “it is policy of Jefferson Medical College that in the event disputed matters are pursued outside the resolution procedures set forth herein, that a court of competent jurisdiction shall award to the prevailing party all costs associated with any litigation including reasonable attorney fees.”
I already have doctors who have reviewed my records and have submitted reports in my favor (Click here to see reports), but I can always use as much support as possible and if anyone in the medical profession is reading this and wants to help out, please don't hesitate to email me at JPDatto@gmail.com or call me at (856) 428-8895. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I appreciate everyone's support/advocacy for my lawsuit. Although I am one voice, I like to believe I'm a collective voice of many who have been wrongly treated in the past.
Also, I'm appreciative of anyone interested in pre-ordering now a copy of my book "Bipolar Beware!!!" (Click here for more information) The money generated from pre-orders will be used towards my lawsuit to ensure that the truth of what happened in the past won't be lost and continued to be covered up and that I can continue on with my training. I hope to one day be the type of medical doctor my patients will trust because I am a man of my word who has everyone's best interests in my heart and will always work hard to ensure proper patient care. The love of money and fear of losing it is plaguing health care and as much of our Country wants and needs health care reform, I do hope this case with everyone's involvement brings faith back, not only to our health care field (for those who have lost much faith in it including myself), but to our Justice system as well.
Thank you for anyone who wants to get involved and help.

Sincerely,
Jeffrey P. Datto, Ph.D.
